To the ends of Portugal - Viana do Castelo to Caminha

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both.
And be one traveler, long I stood,
And looked down one as far as I could
Then took the other, as just as fair." Robert Frost
Two roads diverge as you are leaving Viana do Castelo. The original coastal route follows the city streets up into a wooded, forest area then back to the sea. The Sendra littoral path follows the ocean into a coastal forest. I woke up to the brightest blue sky and no wind with warm temperatures and decided the path taken must be the ocean.

"Slow down you move to fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feeling groovy" Simon and Garfunkel
The biggest regret is the tendency I have to walk to fast to get to a destination. That I forget to look around and just observe where I am and all the wonderful nature that surrounds me. Smell some flowers, enjoy the earth beneath your feet and follow along today's journey through boardwalks and coastal forests until I reached the beach town of Praia de Ancora where I rested and watched the sun set over the glorious ocean.
I walk to self-reflect

The ocean path continues for another 9 kilometers until the small town of Caminha comes into view overlooking Spain. I spent time exploring the town and its medieval charms. Torre do Relogio or clock tower is the most prominent landmark in town. This tower which is nestled between the old city gate and castle is part of the city walls. Igreja Matriz de Caminha is a gothic church built in the 15th century.
